Yeah they are a bit short, the perspective in the photo doesn't help either. I'd like to make a better one some day, but there's too many things to sculpt and too little time :(

Air drying clay is a pain in the arse to work with, it's really hard to get sharp detail in it, I hate the stuff now, wish I'd made it from Sculpey.
But if you are using it, its best to get it in pretty much the right shape then let it dry out a little before adding detail, it can be far too soft to work with straight out of the bag. I then just scrape it down with tools and have a water spray handy to wet the surface and smooth it down in places.

This is amazing! The whole structure is absolutely perfect and you colored the robot beautifully giving it the lovely rust effects. Great job!

It's just PVA glue and salt coated with acrylic paint, works quite well as moss.
