Description

1. Here the resin is poured and set in the mould, used the funnel technique again. Just about to open up the mould but it's time for the final cat inspection! He's a cruel, harsh inspector, every little detail has to be just ri.... o.k the whole cat inspection thing is a big fat lie, I'm sorry.
2. He's actually just looking for his favourite prey, Q tips! I keep them lying around to clean bits of clay off the sculpts. Do you want it Sen?
3. Oh yes he does, and a portion of my finger too, serves me right.
4. Next give Reginald a nice hot soapy bath, he deserves it after all that. This will remove any trace of mould release or oils from the resin, you need to do this if your painting your piece. I also wipe it down with some acetone or rubbing alcohol just before I primer it to make sure there are no oils from my fingers or any other traces of dirt on there.
5. Now I just need to glue on the eye stalks and fill the gaps. I use super glue for this as they are such small pieces, anything larger and I would use a two part epoxy glue.
I fill in any gaps with Milliput, once it's set you just need to sand it down and no gaps!
6. Finished wooo! Now hours of painting to look forward to :(
