Varnishing.

I give the mask two coats of varnish. The first coat is a very tough gloss spray varnish for strength, the second is a matt varnish as no bone is that glossy. The gloss is from a rattle can and the matt I run through my airbrush (thinned down enough to go through it). The matt has a bit of a powdery finish when you spray it which is great for the bone but is two much for the eye area, it dulls the colours, so I just brush on a little satin varnish which really brings the colours out without it looking too shiny.
